Last night I had the fortune of being able to attend a live performance of Riverdance (Riverdance is a theatrical show consisting of traditional Irish step dancing, notable for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary From Wikipedia.com) 8pm last night Nokia Theater Grand Prairie,Texas. My family and I reached about 10 mins late (normal for us) We got our seats at about the 3rd act. My son who is an avid performer himself (ok so he's only 3) couldn't help but wiggle on my lap during the more than 13 or so acts. I had seen Lord Of The Dance (TV) and snippets of Riverdance (again TV) but had know idea how wonderful this performance would be. I am not one to spoil it but the best parts of the show from my perspective was the Trading Taps (Basically Jazz meets Celtic) , the Marta's Dance (Russian Dervish) and Firedance (Flamenco). I am also planning to attend Lord Of The Dance next month. Look for my review of that also.
